The State of Texas filed a Petition for Condemnation with the Judge of the 258th Judicial District Court of San Jacinto County, Texas, on the 20th day of November, 2020, in Cause No. CV16,503 which is styled The State of Texas v. The Unknown Shareholders and/or successors-in-interest of Alpine Development Company, et al. The Plaintiff is the State of Texas. The Defendants are: The unknown shareholders and/or successors-in-interest of Alpine Development Company, defunct business entity of unknown origin, structure, or resolution; and any and all persons, including adverse claimants, the unknown stockholders of any defunct corporations, their successors, heirs, beneficiaries, and assigns, owning or having or claiming any legal, or equitable, interest in lien upon the property, and, if any of them be deceased, their respective heirs and legal representatives, if any; Martha Phillips; Jerry Wayne Baggett; Linda Baggett; Jimmy Don Baggett; Carol Baggett; Jackie Baggett Stuckey; John Stuckey; Debbie Ann Baggett Stewart; and Mark Stewart. This suit is an eminent domain proceeding in which the State of Texas is condemning a tract of land located in San Jacinto County, Texas, containing the property fully described in Exhibit "A" of Plaintiff's Petition for Condemnation filed under the above-referenced cause number. The interest of these Defendants are that they either own or claim an interest in said property, subject to unpaid accrued taxes. You are further notified that you may appear at the hearing before the special commissioners and present evidence you desire on the issue of damages to be assessed against the State. If you do not appear at the hearing, the Special Commissioners may proceed to assess the damages of the owner of the property being condemned. If this Notice is not served within ninety days after its issuance, it shall be returned forthwith.
